E-Series Euronorm Stacking bins (meat)

  1. Stacking bins

  2. E-Series Euronorm Stacking bins (meat)

The plastic stacking bins in the E series were developed on the initiative of the EHI Retail Institute in Germany. This institute was striving for a uniform series of load carriers for meat and meat products.

This finally resulted in a series of six stacking bins. These stacking bins are commonly known as meat crates or meat bins. Of these, the versions E1, E2, E3 and E4 are produced as standard in a red colour. These versions are intended for the read meat sector. The stacking bins E5 and E6 are produced as standard in a yellow colour and are primarily intended for the white meat sector.

All E-stacking bins are employed in the European meat and meat products sector as pooled bins in what is known as an 'open' pool. In this system, each user purchases his own requirement in the agreed pool version and quality. The bins concerned then circulate among the different users and are thus exchanged. There is no separate pool administrator.

In order to complete this transport system, two plastic pallets for the E-stacking bins were developed on EHI's initiative: the EURO H1 pallet (1200 x 800) and the H2 half EURO pallet (800 x 600). These pallets also circulate in an 'open' pool.

In the meantime, both E bins and EURO H1 and H2 pallets have been employed successfully in other sectors. Often of course in companies that supply the meat sector, but also in other (foodstuffs) companies, where extremely high requirements are imposed on load carriers. Below you will find the products in our meat bins and meat crates range.
