The most important characteristic of our wide-mouth drums is that, using a screw top, the drums may be closed air- and moisture-tight, i.e. hermetically, even after being opened frequently. Further they are good to stack and pallet, so that safety is guaranteed during storage and transport. The wide-mouth drums are manufactured from high density polythene (HDPE), which is free of cadmium and other heavy metals. Our wide-moth drums are approved for the packaging of foodstuffs and chemical and pharmaceutical products. They also comply with the UN-X hallmark, so that they are suitable for transport of hazardous substances. Some wide-mouth drums are moreover available in anti-static ESD versions (surface resistance <106 ohms), to prevent electrostatic charging and subsequent discharge. To make them easy to handle, some drums feature folding handles. The super-wide-mouth drums have the additional advantage that they have an extra large filler opening, so that they are easier to fill and empty.
